The Family Awakes[]

Verne: Wow! [sees a beautiful view of the forest. The flowers bloom and the dragonflies flew pass Verne] Spring. That means there's only 274 days left till Winter. [inside the log with autumn leaves] Everybody wake up! Hibernation's over!

Hammy: [pops out of the leaves] Oh, morning!

Verne: Morning, Hammy.

Hammy: I gotta go wee-wee! [zips off]

Verne: Oh, not at the Lake we drink from! [to the others] Let's go! All right, the rest of you, it's spring! That means we gotta get to work!

Hammy: [zips back to Verne] Finished. Oh! Oh! Wait! [zips off again]

Verne: [becoming impatient] Come on, everybody! Wake up! Don't make me come in here.

Stella: Y'all better listen. I've been holding something in all Winter, and I'm about to let it out! [the other animals pops out of the leaves quickly. Stella holds her firing position]

Verne: [grateful and politely] Thank you, Stella.

Stella: Oh, I can clear the room, Verne. Come on. That much I can do.

Lou: Good morning, everyone. Just a super-duper morning, eh?

Penny: Oh, Jeepers!

Lou: Whoa! Not so good round the eyes there, Honey.

Penny: Bucky and Quillo woke up every 3 or 4 weeks, and Spike kept poking me.

Lou: Yeah, well he is kinda pokey.

Penny: Yep, he sure is the sharpest of the bunch there.

Lou: You know what? How about I take the day shift?

Penny: Oh, Lou, that would be just super.

Lou: All right, Kids. You heard your Mother and now you listen to me. Shape up there. [the Porcupine Triplets playfully tackles Lou]

Verne: [picks up over-left berries] Oh boy. This is what I'm afraid of.

Hammy: [energetic] Where's the food? It's there any food left? I'm really hungry, so it's there any food left there, huh?!

Heather: We ate all the food, Hammy, during the Winter? So we're just about get some more now.

Hammy:  Oh, right! I buried my nuts in the woods. I know where they are. I'll be right back. Bye!

[Hammy zips off. A drop of snow from the branch falls on Ozzie's head. He gasps and plays dead. The Triplets laughed at Ozzie]

Heather: [chuckles nervously] Dad, it's just snow?

Ozzie: But it could've been the Predator.

Heather: Isn't playing dead a little... weak?

Ozzie: Heather, how many times have I been saying? Playing Possum is what we do. We die, so that we live.

Lou: [trying to stick his kids on his quills] Kids, I'm the boss of you, okay? So just calm down.

Penny: [to Stella] This is what we need to find you this year, don't you know? A good fella.

Stella: A good fella? A Good Fella?!

Penny: Oh, Jeepers, here we go.

Stella: Why does everyone think I need a man, huh? I look like a nest and smell like a swamp. So when you find a fella who is decent, good with kids and has no sense of smell, call me.

[Meanwhile, Hammy is looking for his nuts around the forest. But suddeny, a big shadow approaches him. Hammy gasps, and looks up shaking in fear]
